Biography

Ms. Aejin (AJ) Yoon has a multicultural background with expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, communication, community outreach, marketing and graphic design. With more than ten years of related experience, Ms. Yoon leads professional services’ strategic organizational planning development and implementation. She has provided advisory services to over 20 educational institutions including 10 community colleges and over 15 professional services firms and not-for-profit agencies. She is adept at partnering with leaders and stakeholders to clarify business direction, align strategies and drive solutions that serve team member, organization, and community needs. 

 

Having a strong passion for connecting the dots between different cultures, Ms. Yoon began her career in public relations and social media marketing for international technology companies that desired to enter the East Asian markets, particularly South Korea. Being bilingual in English and Korean, she has successfully designed integrated communications programs utilizing social media campaigns and public relations activities. She planned and executed local press events and interviews as well as provided intelligence reports on both traditional and social media for the world’s leading tech companies such as Apple and Twitter. With her strong language skills, she has also worked as an interpreter and translator for tech and legal firms.

Associations

Ms. Yoon volunteered for in the Urban Land Institute – San Diego/Tijuana’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She led the development of Strategic Plan #ELEVATE for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) San Diego and its implementation with the chapter leaders.
