Commitment. Drive. Integrity. Experience.
Mr. Jeff Korpi’s nearly 20 year career has been dedicated to providing leadership to students, staff and the operations of a 3,000 bed Housing and Residence Life department, steeped in rich community identity and tradition. Recently, Jeff served as the Director of Housing and Residence Life at Northern Michigan University and helped the institution successfully achieve their goal in building an $80-million, 1200 residence-hall bed replacement, under a P3 model, the first in the state of Michigan. Seeing the project from inception to launch to full operation, Jeff’s management strategies and brand vision helped the project exceed every annual occupancy and financial goal. Jeff’s team-centered approach and focus on co-creation theory, helped to create institutional buy-in amongst students, staff, administrators and various campus partners.
Jeff has worked diligently to share his insights with colleagues and industry leaders regarding on-campus housing projects, having presented at and led pre-conference workshops for numerous ACUHO-I conferences and engagements. Jeff has also presented at the P3 Higher Education Summit, Bisnow events, The Public Private Partnership Conference and Expo and recently served as a faculty member for the Academic Impressions: Public/Private Partnerships Institute.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice, both from Northern Michigan University, set on the stunning shores of Lake Superior
