Ms. Volz has over twenty-five years of real estate experience in program/project management, management advisory, programming, property management, and business development and marketing. She has been actively involved in nearly all aspects of development from strategic planning through ongoing operations.
Prior to forming Volz Company, her background included leadership positions at a student housing advisory and management practice, a national program management firm, and an international architecture firm. She was also a key member of the management team of three new $200M+ mixed-use destination developments, a significant mall renovation project, and a 52 story urban mixed use building.
Her experience includes several large developments, including Navy Pier redevelopment in Chicago, Illinois; Terminal 5 at O’Hare in Chicago, IL; Pacific Place mixed-use development in Seattle, WA; and North Riverside Mall redevelopment in North Riverside, IL. She also served as the Property Manager of a 470 unit mixed-use residential building during a renovation process that improved asset value to close at $110M, which was ten-percent higher than the list price.
She has shared her expertise through industry presentations and membership in the International Association of Conference Centers, Urban Land Institute, National Association of College and University Business Officers, Society of College and University Planners, Association of College and University Housing Officers, P3 Higher Education Summit, Interface On-Campus Student Housing, Commercial Real Estate Women, International Council of Shopping Centers, Society of Marketing Professional Services.
Ms. Volz received her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing as well as a Bachelor of Communications from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN in 1991.
